Making sense of life. Sites that explain the good news of the Christian Gospel

Although there are many thousands of Christian websites, most have been written for Christians and only a tiny percentage are designed to share the good news about Jesus in terms that non-Christians will understand. This 99 percent problem is a tragedy, when the opportunities are so great.

The links on this page show-case many of the best outreach sites available. Many use the Bridge Strategy – taking a secular subject of interest or a felt need as a starting point. Many are highly creative in their approach, and may inspire other new ideas.

Also included are discipleship resources for new Christians, and other help pages that will help site visitors with life problems.

There are many opportunities for web outreach in non-English languages. The example of a very creative team in Poland offers a model for effective online evangelism, and could be replicated in many other unreached countries.

Read the encouraging story of a young woman who found God through a student outreach site: view a 5-minute video (Windows Media Player or QuickTime) – and use it in church meetings or seminars to demonstrate the potential of the Web.

To share appropriate sites with non-Christians you meet, online, in chat rooms or face to face. Build up an easily-accessible portfolio of links in a file on your computer
Link to sites from your own site in enticing non-preachy terms. Even if your site is intended primarily for Christians, it should have a prominent link somewhere to explain the Gospel for non-Christians who happen to find your pages.
If you do not have an evangelistic site of your own, add the URL of an outreach page to your email signature, expressed in enticing non-preachy terms.
