These questions can be used at different levels. You can take 30 seconds to think about one or two. You can discuss them in a team or group of like-minded Christians.   1. To what extent are literature and plays an integral part of the culture of any country?
  2. Name several books and several plays which you feel are an accurate reflection of your country's culture and aspirations.
  3. Analyze their story-lines in terms of 'the hero's journey' explained in our 'Echoes from Eternity' page. What redemptive analogies can you see in these stories?
  4. How to stories written from a Christian worldview differ from those written from an existential viewpoint (e.g. Camus), or a negative fatalist view (e.g. Thomas Hardy).
