More about Internet Evangelism Day - the new focus day in 2006

Who produces the Guide?

And why?

The Web Evangelism Guide exists to encourage believers to use the Internet for direct outreach. Of the many thousands of Christian websites online, only a tiny percentage are specifically designed to communicate the Gospel to non-Christians. It is our hope that the Guide and its twice-monthly newsletter may equip Christians with new ideas and strategies for many types of effective online outreach.

The Guide is edited by Tony Whittaker, and is a part of SOON Ministries, a literature outreach ministry producing free papers in several languages. SOON Ministries is a part of the interdenominational evangelical mission agency WEC International, which has a number of ministries within UK and international outreach and sending bases in a wide range of countries around the world. There are many opportunities for short and long term full-time ministry within within WEC International and within SOON Ministries. Spare-time volunteer help can often be used too.

SOON Ministries adheres to the Statement of Faith held by WEC International.

The Guide has close ministry links with many others. It is honored to be a partner ministry within Gospelcom.net and works closely with Evangelism Toolbox, Cybermissions and the Internet Evangelism Coalition and other partner groups with a similar vision.

SOON Ministries is based in Willington, a small village near Derby in UK.

Purpose in detail

The Guide and its Bulletin newsletter exist to promote the Web as a medium for effective evangelism. Many of the strategies outlined have a wider relevance to other types of evangelism too. In detail, this site attempts to:
