What does this book title suggest to you? "Five steps to hearty witness: 1. Put on forced evangelical smile, 2. Paint Bible texts on your shoes. 3....."? Breathe a sigh of relief. This book represents the complete opposite!
When a review suggests that a book is unmissable and life-changing, we tend to switch off. We usually have only a little time to spend in reading. However, I do commend book to you wholeheartedly. It is easy to read, yet full of unique insights. The discussion sections at the end of each chapter also make it ideal for church study groups, seminars, or Bible College courses. Anyone, anywhere, who wants to share their faith online or offline, will learn valuable lessons here. The book initially shows how to get off the "Guilt Trip" of wrong motivation for evangelism. It goes on to show what things actually communicate Christ effectively to others; how to get past closed minds; and examines the methods Jesus used in building bridges - using personalized and appropriate ways to reach individual people through their felt needs.
At my suggestion, Dick is generously offering Guide readers a special deal on the book (plus a few other of his books and a tape) - (currency converter) with a flat-rate post and packaging to anywhere in the world surface mail. (I get nothing for suggesting this - and I suspect that ACTS makes only a few pennies at this price.)
Order online by credit card, or you can fax/post your order instead.
Two chapters of the book are available online and can also be syndicated into your own site or reprinted.
The book is also available in Christian bookstores in North America, in Australia through Openbook Publishers, in Indonesia through Penebit Gandum Mas and through online suppliers such as Barnes and Noble. Why not get one for your church bookstore or library as well? If you are a book importer/distributor for another country, please consider distributing this book. You may reprint this article in any print magazine. Legitimate requests for review copies by editors of large-circulation publications are welcome.
